Dinsos - EBC Donates Business Packages to Underprivileged Citizens

The Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) is collaborating with PT EBC (Elite Berkah Cakrawala) to provide as many as 20 Ayam Geprek (crushed chicken dish) Jameela Business Packages to beneficiary families through the Family Hope Program (KPM PKH) at Dinkes Office, Jalan Gunung Sahari II, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

This business package in the form of a cart and cooking utensils was given to those from West and South Jakarta areas.

Dinkes Head, Premi Lasari disclosed, it is a collaboration in a bid to support family entrepreneurship whose membership ends as self-graduation KPM PKH as their socio-economic conditions have improved.

"Our hope is they can earn their own income when they no longer receive social assistance," she expressed, Friday (10/15).

She urged urban village and sub-district heads to continuously support those who would run their businesses and register them as Jakpreuner members.

"Support, monitor and evaluate them. We have a program called Jakpreuner to register and guide them," she explained.

PT EBC President Director, Ocha Jamilah uttered, it was an opportunity for KPM PKH to become entrepreneurs.

"Because we are fighting and the struggle can't be stopped from now on. Use this help as best you can. InsyaAllah useful," she stated.

As for the information, the number of KPM PKH in Jakarta that will graduate independently is 11,298 or 10 percent out of 112,809 families. While the number of PKH companies until 2021 is 233 people.

With this collaboration, it could open up business opportunities for KPM PKH who are conducting independent graduation, thus they remain productive, especially during the pandemic.
